Planning Multiverse West

Conference planning for Multiverse West and East moved along, with an open invitation to people who had not taken classes.

Liz was in the middle of planning Multiverse West in San Francisco and Multiverse East in Miami. She invited anyone who wanted to present something AI-related to get in touch, and opened attendance to people who had not taken classes, as long as they signed up and could be verified as real people.

The list of students looking for work ran again in a new order. There were no scheduled classes that week, only open body-doubling on the server.

The free CTF was extended to June 30, and May participants were told their certifications were coming.

We've got Multiverse West from 7-1-24 - 7-22-24 and Multiverse East from 7-22-24 - 8-7-24 coming up! Basically we're descending on San Francisco (Multiverse West) and Miami (Multiverse East).

Have you not attended classes, and still want to come? Fill out the form anyway, mention you haven't attended classes, and sign up on the website. We'll send out details to people who give us enough details during signup that we can validate that they're real humans.

Don't forget: Families in Gaza need our help. By the way the next cohort for Prompt Engineering begins June 17 It starts with Using Large Language Models.

If you're taking any two classes, this is a reminder that you should probably just do the all-you-can-attend membership.

Multiverse Students Looking for Work

Everyone here has learned the cutting-edge Gen AI stuff we teach here, but now they're looking for work! Not everyone here has a network and could use your help! Please do me a favor and help these folks out with some introductions! You can hire them away BUT you are depriving me of their brain so it better be for a lot of moolah.

Here they are again in a different order! Order implies nothing, so I'm trying to mix it up every week. They're all fantastic, their main skill overlap is Generative AI.

  1. Liss McCabe Senior developer, looking for full-stack work in Ruby, Python, React, Gen AI, Prompt Engineering
  2. Razi Alawamleh Looking for Front-End (React & React Native) and Back-End work, Gen AI, Prompt Engineering, and does a great job with Product thinking.
  3. Cameron Sweeney Looking for Back-End (Python, Math and Stats), Data, Gen AI, Prompt Engineering,
  4. Gene Hwang Jr. Dev and Researcher looking for Data and Backend roles. Gene is our most prolific TA who is absolutely instrumental to me in keeping eyes out for new Gen AI research.
  5. Kellyn Von Arx Looking for UX, UI, and Product design, Gen AI. Has some Python & Git experience, some Prompt Engineering experience
  6. Roan A Caws Looking for CyberSecurity Red Team (pen testing) work, Gen AI work, working with me on The Swarm of Hacking AIs, has Python and CyberSecurity in spades, and TAs at The Multiverse School

People get on the server and body double and hang out at random times. There are also video games played. You should also touch some grass, but vague, unscheduled, and often surprising things occur.
